5 expert tips for taking care of your houseplants
You definitely don't need in-depth knowledge to successfully keep houseplants. More than loving care and some simple rules are enough to keep your houseplants beautiful and happy all year round.
1. Pitch
Most of our houseplants like a bright spot, except for the fern species that can survive well in a darker spot as well. Also make sure they are not in constant bright sun, which can cause the leaves to burn.
2. Watering
Preferably give the plant rainwater (it contains less lime) at room temperature. The soil should be slightly moist, but make sure the roots are not standing in a layer of water, they could rot. In the summer months, the plant needs more water than in winter.
3. Houseplant nutrition

4. Ensure proper humidity
If it is too dry in the house, the plant may dry out or the leaves may become discolored. If you notice that your plants suffer from this, you can spray them occasionally with a plant sprayer.
5. Repot
It is important to repot the plant from time to time. This is best done in the spring, when the plant starts growing again. Repotting is necessary for a number of reasons; the new soil gives the plant new nutrients, more houseplant soil allows the plant to hold more water, and you will find that the plant will grow faster. Always repot carefully to minimize damage to the roots.
