The common Typha, also known as Typha latifolia, reed cigar, and cigar plant, is a hardy marsh plant that helps keep pond water clean and gives it a natural look. The plant absorbs nitrate from the water, thereby helping to control algae. The distinctive brown “cigars” on the stems and the broad, sturdy leaves immediately give the bank a robust character. A true classic among Aquatic plants. Common Typha quickly and vigorously, with broad leaves and long stems that can reach up to 1.5 meters in height. The plant roots deeply into the pond bottom and filters water efficiently thanks to its extensive root system. In the summer, the characteristic brown flower spikes appear, giving the plant its name. Due to its rapid growth, it can spread, but it can easily be divided or pruned to keep it in shape. Our cattails are organically Grown our own nursery, without the use of artificial additives. The plant is fully hardy and re-emerges every year. For a balanced pond, we recommend 2 baskets, each containing 4 Aquatic plants 1,000 liters of water, for a total of 8 marsh plants. The water is finally clear

No matter what I tried, the water in my pond just wouldn't clear up. After exchanging a few emails, I decided to order this complete kit, though to be honest, I wasn't very confident it would work.
