Tip from SimonButomus umbellatus more than just ornamental; its roots absorb nutrients that algae would otherwise use. Its pink umbels attract bees and butterflies, even though you hardly ever see it in the wild anymore. Plant it in a basket with STEP ONE at -1 cm—meaning 1 cm of water above the rim of the basket. Don’t place any stones on top of it, as this will cause it to rot. A shallower depth provides more heat and light, resulting in faster growth.

Butomus umbellatus, also known as Butomus umbellatus, is a perennial aquatic plant with graceful pink flowers that bloom from June through September. The plant contributes to a healthy pond by absorbing nutrients from the water through its roots, which helps limit algae growth. With its sturdy stems and striking blooms, this plant brings color and tranquility to the pond’s edge.
What makes this product special
Butomus umbellatus out for the shape of its flower, whose pistil resembles a swan’s neck. The plant spreads through roots in the soil and thrives in moist soil or shallow water, preferably in full sun. It blooms best when given ample space. Dividing the plant every few years keeps it vigorous and floriferous. A robust plant that constantly renews itself and pairs well with other marsh plants.
Quality and origin
Our water lilies are grown without artificial additives in our own nursery and are fully hardy. The plant returns every year, grows with the seasons, and can last for decades. For a balanced pond, we recommend 2 baskets, each containing 4 Aquatic plants 1,000 liters of water, for a total of 8 aquatic plants. This ensures a strong, flowering shoreline zone with water-purifying properties.

The water is finally clear

No matter what I tried, the water in my pond just wouldn't clear up. After exchanging a few emails, I decided to order this complete kit, though to be honest, I wasn't very confident it would work.
