Pond crabgrass - Stratiotes Aloides
Crab swards (Stratiotes aloides) are both oxygen plants and floating plants that float loosely on the surface of the pond. It is the perfect plant for koi ponds, as koi carp often ignore this pointed floating plant. Above water the leaves turn a fresh green, under water they are dark green to wine red. The plant is hardy, but the leaves die off in winter and the stem survives at the bottom of the pond. In warmer weather, the plant rises to the surface again
Crab crab, a floating oxygen plant that prevents algae growth
The crab crab secretes a special substance into the water that suppresses algae growth. Oxygen plants are very important for balanced and clear pond water. They block the sun and provide good shelter for fish and other aquatic animals. Crabgrass grows to a maximum height of 20 cm. Crab shrubs often grow faster than other pond plants, so they always have a head start on algae growth.

FAQ: Why does crabgrass sink to the bottom?
Crab crab can sometimes sink to the bottom of the pond, especially in new or nutrient-poor environments. This is an attempt to obtain nutrients from the soil for growth. When the plant has built up enough strength, it will rise again to the surface.
FAQ: Why does Crabber float upside down, slant in the water or sink?
Don't worry, this is perfectly normal. The supplied Crab crab crab are young shoots that will take their proper shape in the water within a few days after they are placed. They will straighten up under the influence of sunlight.

Our plants are grown with the utmost care. Special attention is paid to the development and growth of the plant. When packing your order, quality control also takes place. So you can be sure that the plants you purchase from us are core healthy.
Did you receive plants and you are not sure about the quality? Please let us know within 48h after delivery, using this form. Enclose a photo so that we can look at the plants with you and advise you. If it turns out that the plants really are not of good quality, we will of course guarantee your purchase.
