Sufficiently oxygenating underwater plants in the pond means you will NOT need a pump and filter. Oxygenating plants filter the water and block the sun. This causes the water to heat up less which reduces the formation of algae. Oxygen plants also provide shelter for fish from impending danger. All of our oxygen plants are hardy and are supplied from our own aquatic plant nursery with a 100% growth and flowering guarantee. For oxygen plants, I recommend a minimum of 10 to 12 individual plants per m³ (1000 liters of water) and 2 baskets of 4 plants per m². The amount needed depends on how quickly you want the pond to balance and your visual requirements. With our anti-alga pond kit for the pond, you ensure that the algae in your water feature is controlled and that algae stays away in the future. This ensures that the water remains crystal clear and the quality of the water remains optimal. Oxygen plants are indispensable in a plant filter by clearing waste products from the water and releasing O2 to the water. With enough oxygen plants, you prevent algae from forming in your plant filter and the water from turning green and cloudy. Oxygen plants are especially important in a plant filter because the water is not as deep there, so it warms up faster and algae have a chance to fester. Oxygenating plants and a bottle of Bacta clear
Purchased: Pond clear package - M
My pond was quite murky, so after a good conversation with Simon, I decided to follow the advice: more oxygen plants and a bottle of bacteria. I ordered the recommended package, but after four days no improvement was visible. Full of disappointment, I contacted customer service. They advised me to be patient and give the process 2-3 weeks. Although I had my doubts about it, I decided to wait anyway. And what turned out? After two weeks, the water started to clear and I even saw frogs that I had never noticed before! Last year I had a landscaper install a plant filter at my swimming pond, recommending lava and some plants from the local garden center. Unfortunately, things went completely wrong; the plants died one by one and I suffered an algae infestation.
