Pond Specialist & Aquatic Plant Grower
Water milfoil filters the water and blooms from spring through late summer. Water hyacinth, also known as Pontederia cordata, is a striking marsh plant with deep purple to blue flowers that bloom for months. The plant thrives in the shallow zone of your pond and helps control algae by providing shade and absorbing nutrients from the water. Ideal for those looking for a long-blooming plant that also contributes to clear water. Pontederia cordata is a non-native but well-established aquatic plant with sturdy, heart-shaped leaves and flower spikes that rise above the water. The plant attracts many insects, such as bees and butterflies, and grows in a compact clump along the shoreline. Thanks to its long blooming period (June–September), it remains an eye-catcher in the pond. You can easily plant it in a pond basket, preferably in sun to light shade. Our water milfoil plants are grown in our own nursery without the use of artificial additives and are fully hardy. They require little care and return every year. For a healthy pond, we recommend 2 baskets, each containing 4 Aquatic plants 8 total), per 1,000 liters of water. Divide the plant every few years to maintain its vigor and flowering. The water is finally clear

No matter what I tried, the water in my pond just wouldn't clear up. After exchanging a few emails, I decided to order this complete kit, though to be honest, I wasn't very confident it would work.
The delivery was in good condition and the plants looked healthy. Not much changed during the first few weeks, but after about a month, the water slowly began to clear up.
Now the pond is really in perfect balance. The plants are growing well, and I can even see frogs among the leaves again. I'm really glad I gave this a try.

Last year, I had a landscaper install a plant filter in my swimming pond, and he recommended lava rock and some plants from the local garden center. Unfortunately, it all went wrong; the plants died one by one, and I ended up with an algae infestation.
