About this product
Spike Plant, also known as Crassula recurva or water crassula, is an essential oxygenating plant for a healthy pond. It releases oxygen into the water, helps suppress algae, and supports the natural balance. Thanks to its compact growth, a pump or filter is often unnecessary. At the same time, needle grass naturally purifies the water and provides a safe hiding place for fish and other aquatic animals.
What makes this product special
Needlewort grows low to the ground, spreads quickly as a groundcover, and has fine, needle-like leaves that range in color from fresh green to light pink. The plant roots easily in Pond substrate grows at a manageable pace, providing quick results without becoming overgrown. For controlled growth, we recommend placing it in a pond basket. This allows you to keep track of it and enhances the natural look of the pond.
Quality and origin
Our needle grass plants come directly from our own nursery, are organically grown, and are perfectly suited to the Dutch climate. They are hardy, grow with the seasons, and reappear every year without any extra care. For a balanced pond, we recommend a minimum of 1 basket with 4 plants per square meter, up to a maximum of 4 baskets for faster results. In deeper areas, you can supplement this with individual oxygenating plants. This creates a sustainable foundation for clear and healthy water.

No matter what I tried, the water in my pond just wouldn't clear up. After exchanging a few emails, I decided to order this complete kit, though to be honest, I wasn't very confident it would work.
