How long is BACTA CLEAR shelf life?
BACTA CLEAR can be kept closed for 6 months. After opening only 2 days. Therefore, we always recommend putting the entire bottle into the pond in 1x.
Can you add too much BACTA CLEAR to the pond?
BACTA CLEAR is 100% natural and cannot be overdosed.
How often and when is it best to add BACTA CLEAR to the pond?
We recommend at least 2x a year. 1x in the fall and 1x in the spring. Do you have a lot of problems with algae growth or a cloudy pond then you can repeat it. We also recommend adding BACTA CLEAR to a new pond layout and rearrangement.
What time does it take until BACTA CLEAR gives results?
BACTA CLEAR needs at least 3 weeks to do its job properly, provided the pond is properly set up.
Is BACTA CLEAR safe for animals?
Yes definitely, BACTA CLEAR is 100% natural and not harmful to humans, plants or animals.
Can BACTA CLEAR be used together with a UV filter lamp?
This can, but is not desirable because a UV-C filter makes it through largely bacteria. BACTA CLEAR is a replacement for a UV lamp. If you add BACTA CLEAR twice a year you no longer need a UV filter.
My pond discolored after using BACTA CLEAR
This can be correct, these are the bacteria doing their job. After a few weeks, the pond will become clear.
Can I combine BACTA CLEAR with other products?
Yes BACTA CLEAR can be combined with other products without problems. The best products that work together with BACTA CLEAR are POND SUBTRATE pond substrate and INSTA CLEAN soil cleaner
My pond is still green after adding BACTA CLEAR.
This may be because the pond is not properly set up. BACTA CLEAR alone is insufficient. Getting a pond clear and biologically balanced also requires sufficient aquatic plants and an attachment for the bacteria such as POND SUBSTRATE pond substrate or INSTA CLEAN.
